Whitney Houston Giveaway

 This is my contest entry for MAYLONNI99, she is having a wonderful contest and so I had to enter to support her channel and of course try to win =) This is a Whitney Huston inspired contest were she basically wants you to come up with a makeup look that has been worn by Whitney.  As everyone knows she isn't know for colorful bold makeup, in fact the only looks I've every seen on her was a smoky eye or a natural eye.  Of course, I chose to do a smoky eye with my own twist by making it sparkly rather then matte.  As always thanks for watching and good luck to who all that enters.

Valentine’s Day Soft Neutral Pink Look

I decided to do a real soft neutral Valentine’s Day eye shadow look.  I personally think this is a natural way for someone with my skin tone to get away with wearing a bold pink color on the eyes.  I’m very happy on how the look turned out.  At first I was going to wear this with a neutral lip, but I though a real nice pink lip goes really well with the eyes and cheeks.  As always, thanks for reading =)

Beauty from the Earth: Northern Lights

 

"An aurora is a natural light display in the sky particularly in the high latitude arctic regions, caused by the collision of energetic charged particles with atoms in the high altitude atmosphere. In northern latitudes, the effect is known as the aurora borealis (or the northern lights), named after the Roman goddess of dawn, Aurora, and the Greek name for the north wind, Boreas."

 This beauty from the earth is the "Northern Lights"  I never seem it in person, but I've seen plenty of videos and photos of this amazing event.  I hope you like the look and as always, thanks for reading & watching and  =)

Impressions of ELF's New Products/New Colors 3

e.l.f. Essential Powder Brush

I was a little hesitant on getting this brush because it was from the essentials line and not the studio line.  There are a lot of mixed reviews on brushes from the essential line more leaning towards negative, but I haven't heard one bad review about the studio line brushes.  This brush is a great alternative if you don't want to spend the money on the MAC 109 or even the Sigma F05 brush.  I really do like this brush, now this is my first brush from this line, so I can't speak on the rest of the brushes.  Whats funny is that I mention in the video that I wish elf would have made a brush like this in their studio line and no lie, a week later they did, so be on the lookout for that brush review.  This brush gets 5 stars from me.

e.l.f. Essential Custom Eyes

This too is also a first purchase for me.  I haven't heard a bad review about this product and I have to agree I do like these eye shadows.  These four colors are new to the line and they go very well together.  The pigmentation is good you could probably wear these without a base, but I still would use one.  I would give these about 4 stars.

 These lip colors are pretty good to matte, they are not to drying and they do have some lasting power.  My only negative comment about these lipsticks is that they smell bad, not to the point you can't wear them, but the smell dose linger a bit then goes away.  The last thing is that I wish the color range was better, but other than that these are pretty good 4 stars.

e.l.f. Studio Eyebrow Treat & Tame

 I have always wanted to try this product, but the shade selection was never dark enough.  I use a dark brown pencil to fill my brows in so I would need this color to be dark brown as well.  I really like using this for a natural look brow, sometimes I don't feel like using pencil and concealer so instead I use this and I like the effect that it gives.  I really can't speak on the treat product because I haven't been using it that long, but I will post an update.
